September-October 2004: Raphael planned and executed a 2,000 mile bicycle ride down the Atlantic coast registering voters for the 2004 election. He met up with Mei Mei Hu of Philadelphia and merged with her organization, Ride for Change. Ride for Change was a non-partisan get-out-the-vote effort that registered over 2,000 voters! All told, Raphael registered over 3,000 voters! It was a terrific success and illuminated the power of cycle-activism at making meaningful contacts and educating at a face-to-face level.
